Brenda is a certified wellness coach, massage therapist and teacher of T’ai Chi and Qigong, which have been integral parts of her life for over 14 years. She has been teaching T’ai Chi for health and wellness for more than seven years. Brenda’s classes ensure personalized attention that honors and accommodates the individuality of each student. Brenda also is one of the Health Educators in the Wellness office.
Brenda is a group and personal fitness instructor who believes that “you are as old as your spine is flexible.” She holds a B.A. degree in dance from Eastern Michigan University and has been teaching for over 30 years. As a certified AFFA instructor, she has been teaching Pilates for over 10 years and recently added Flex and Stretch Barre, chair Pilates, Silver Sneakers Circuit and Silver Sneakers Yoga. Because Brenda has a good understanding of anatomy and kinesiology, she can modify exercises for students’ individual needs and limitations.
Sarah Nadeau, RYT
Sarah earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services/Psychology from Lesley College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. After working as an outreach family counselor, she became a coordinator for a corporate fitness facility and pursued her passion for fitness as a Jazzercise business owner and instructor/trainer. When she moved to the local community she was employed as a health & fitness and program director managing the growth and development of a full service health club. Sarah has certifications as a FirstLine Therapy Lifestyle Educator, HMR weight loss educator, and Stott Pilates trainer. She is also a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), spinning instructor and personal trainer.
Mel has over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry as an AFFA and ISCA Certified Personal Trainer, and small group specialist. he teaches seniors classes, kickboxing, core fitness and more, and has been the director of group fitness programming for several Boston area facilities. He trained a 2005 Biggest Loser Contestant, and is also a Triple-A Fitness and aerobics competition judge. Mel is skilled in sports conditioning for fitness enthusiasts of all ages and welcomes both beginners and experienced “exercisers” in his classes.
Karen has worked in the fitness industry for many years. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Fitness from Keene State College. After graduation, Karen received her certification as an aerobics instructor and personal trainer, where she worked in a corporate fitness center. She enjoys teaching many styles of classes including seniors fitness, muscle conditioning, boot camp, Mom and Tot, and more. Karen loves helping members achieve their goals and improve their health. She is also a coach for soccer, basketball and softball at the middle school level.
Stacey has over 20 years of experience inn the fitness industry including owning a Gold’s Gym franchise where she directed all the group fitness programming. She has been a certified AFFA instructor for over 16 years, teaching a variety of fitness classes. Stacey is a former New England Patriot’s cheerleader and one of the original instructors certified in Zumba by creator Beto Perez. Her focus in Zumba is to make sure that all members have a fun experience!
Lorna Erwin, GFI
Lorna has worked in the fitness industry for over 10 years as a group fitness program director, AFFA personal trainer, and group fitness instructor. She enjoys teaching many styles of classes including strength and conditioning, TRX, senior fit, functional fitness, kickboxing and boot camp. She is passionate about her clients’ success in achieving their fitness goals and living a healthy life.
Jonna is a certified yoga instructor and registered through the National Yoga Alliance as a 200-hour yoga teacher (RYT). She offers creatively sequenced yoga classes that are fun for all levels with n emphasis on body alignment and breath. Jonna is also a Reiki practitioner. she delights in working with all ages.
Linda Jennings, CPT, RYT
Linda has been instructing group exercise and fitness for almost 10 years. She is certified as a personal trainer, and has completed her 200-hour Yoga certification. She currently offers personal training, and teaches yoga, Pilates, HIIT and Abs/Core. In addition, she is also qualified to teach Barre, Zumba, Cardio Kickboxing, BodyFlex/Strength and several other programs. Linda loves teaching her classes mindful of the practices of balance, moderation, meditation, and positive mind/body condition
